Narenj signifie \u00ab orange am\u00e8re \u00bb en arabe. L'oranger, que l'on trouve souvent dans la cour centrale des maisons de Damas, est une source de bont\u00e9, de douceur et de nutrition et un lieu de rencontre o\u00f9 les proches peuvent se reconnecter apr\u00e8s une longue journ\u00e9e.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nabil et Sousana ont recr\u00e9\u00e9 le sentiment de bont\u00e9 et <\/span>unit\u00e9<\/span><\/a> que symbolise l'oranger dans leur Syrie natale dans leur restaurant orl\u00e9anais Narenj. Pour Nabil, ancien banquier et Sousana, ancien fonctionnaire, l'id\u00e9e de Narenj est n\u00e9e de la passion du partage de leur culture \u00e0 travers le langage universel de la cuisine. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un restaurant de style bistro et \u00e0 une pr\u00e9sentation impeccable de repas compos\u00e9s de riches ingr\u00e9dients locaux, ils ont r\u00e9invent\u00e9 l'exp\u00e9rience culinaire du Moyen-Orient dans leur communaut\u00e9. <\/span><\/p>\n

Nabil et Sousana ont \u00e9t\u00e9 des innovateurs actifs au sein de la communaut\u00e9 PLACE au cours de sa premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e d'exp\u00e9rimentation charni\u00e8re \u00e0 Paris en 2017. Pendant 7 mois, ils ont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 imaginer, \u00e0 pivoter et \u00e0 s'\u00e9panouir en p\u00e9riode d'incertitude personnelle gr\u00e2ce au pop-up de PLACE. <\/span>Laboratoires d'innovation<\/span><\/a>. Peu de temps apr\u00e8s avoir servi ses d\u00e9licieuses recettes \u00e0 la maire de Paris Anne Hidalgo lors de la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie de remise des dipl\u00f4mes 2017, Narenj a ouvert ses portes au public \u00e0 l'\u00e9t\u00e9 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

En tant que restaurateurs, leur vie quotidienne est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement d\u00e9finie par les clients qui franchissent la porte. Les habitu\u00e9s \u2013 pour qui Nabil a d\u00e9j\u00e0 son plat pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 sur les fourneaux alors qu'ils s'installent \u00e0 leur table habituelle. Les r\u00e9servistes enthousiastes \u2013 qui, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 plusieurs avis cinq \u00e9toiles sur TripAdvisor, ont r\u00e9serv\u00e9 leur table il y a des semaines et ont t\u00e9l\u00e9charg\u00e9 le menu sur leur t\u00e9l\u00e9phone la veille. En mars 2020, lorsqu\u2019ils ont d\u00fb fermer les portes de leurs restaurants en raison de la situation sanitaire sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent li\u00e9e au COVID-19, leur quotidien a rapidement chang\u00e9. Pour le couple, arriv\u00e9 en tant que r\u00e9fugi\u00e9 en France en 2015, \u00e0 une \u00e9poque d\u00e9finie par un niveau d'incertitude similaire, le <\/span>capacit\u00e9 d'adaptation<\/span><\/a> \u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 l\u00e0. Comme de nombreux propri\u00e9taires de petites entreprises dans le monde, ils proposent la livraison gratuite de leurs repas pendant toute la p\u00e9riode de distanciation sociale et de confinement, invitant leurs clients \u00e0 rester chez eux.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Les habitu\u00e9s sont toujours l\u00e0 \u2013 reconnaissables par un nom et non par un arr\u00eat. Les r\u00e9servistes impatients aussi, mais d\u00e9sormais ils r\u00e9servent leurs repas quatre heures \u00e0 l'avance. Tandis que les curieux se montrent toujours aussi ind\u00e9cis. Bien que leur quotidien ait un visage diff\u00e9rent en cette p\u00e9riode de changement social majeur, Nabil et Sousana ont conserv\u00e9 leur sens du service et sont toujours capables de communiquer \u00e0 travers leur m\u00e9dia favori : la nourriture.<\/span><\/p>\n
