Des st\u00e9r\u00e9otypes persistants continuent de pr\u00e9senter le g\u00e9nie math\u00e9matique comme une discipline rare et presque exclusivement masculine, d\u00e9courageant ainsi de nombreuses filles de s&#039;orienter vers ce domaine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pour remettre en question ces hypoth\u00e8ses, nous consacrons cet article \u00e0 <\/span><b>Maryam Mirzakhani<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, la premi\u00e8re femme \u00e0 remporter le <\/span><b>M\u00e9daille Fields<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, la plus haute distinction en math\u00e9matiques. Ses travaux ont transform\u00e9 notre compr\u00e9hension des espaces g\u00e9om\u00e9triques et ouvert de nouvelles voies dans la recherche math\u00e9matique moderne.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maryam Mirzakhani est n\u00e9e en <\/span><b>1977 \u00e0 T\u00e9h\u00e9ran, Iran<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enfant, elle adorait lire et r\u00eavait de devenir \u00e9crivaine. Ce n&#039;est que plus tard, lorsqu&#039;elle a int\u00e9gr\u00e9 la Farzanegan School, un \u00e9tablissement pour \u00e9l\u00e8ves surdou\u00e9s, qu&#039;elle s&#039;est passionn\u00e9e pour les math\u00e9matiques.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Son talent ne tarda pas \u00e0 se manifester. En 1994, elle remporta un <\/span><b>m\u00e9daille d&#039;or aux Olympiades internationales de math\u00e9matiques<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Elle est ainsi devenue la premi\u00e8re Iranienne \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser cet exploit. L&#039;ann\u00e9e suivante, elle est revenue et a remport\u00e9 une autre m\u00e9daille d&#039;or avec un score parfait.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9tudi\u00e9 les math\u00e9matiques \u00e0 l&#039;Universit\u00e9 de technologie Sharif de T\u00e9h\u00e9ran, elle s&#039;est install\u00e9e aux \u00c9tats-Unis pour poursuivre un doctorat \u00e0 l&#039;Universit\u00e9 Harvard sous la direction du math\u00e9maticien Curtis McMullen, lui-m\u00eame laur\u00e9at de la m\u00e9daille Fields.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Explorer la g\u00e9om\u00e9trie des mondes cach\u00e9s<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maryam travaillait en g\u00e9om\u00e9trie, une branche des math\u00e9matiques qui \u00e9tudie les formes et les espaces.
