Pour Farid, un Afghan de 23 ans, l\u2019objectif a toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 clair, mais le chemin pour y parvenir a \u00e9t\u00e9 un peu un labyrinthe. Lorsqu'il a d\u00e9marr\u00e9 son projet, D\u00e9veloppement des relations publiques<\/a>, plus commun\u00e9ment appel\u00e9 PRD<\/a>, en 2018 il n'avait qu'une mission : acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer l'autonomie \u00e9conomique des r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s en France.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2018 a \u00e9t\u00e9 une ann\u00e9e de tests. Au cours d'une s\u00e9rie de 6 laboratoires d'innovation avec PLACE, Farid s'est entour\u00e9 de la communaut\u00e9 grandissante qu'il cherchait \u00e0 servir. Des nouveaux venus du Bangladesh, du Mali, de Guin\u00e9e, du Sri Lanka, d\u2019Afghanistan et de Syrie \u2013 tous lui donnent les contraintes n\u00e9cessaires pour rendre le PRD pertinent et \u00e9volutif. Avec cette communaut\u00e9, il a pu tester la meilleure approche \u2013 ateliers CV, boutiques de v\u00eatements accessibles, consultations en ligne \u00e0 distance \u2013 chaque id\u00e9e a \u00e9t\u00e9 explor\u00e9e, chaque voix a \u00e9t\u00e9 compt\u00e9e. Capable de circuler librement entre l'anglais et l'ourdou, Farid a \u00e9t\u00e9 fortement coach\u00e9 par Devika, responsable des programmes et de l'apprentissage de PLACE, qui l'a pouss\u00e9 \u00e0 oser grandir.<\/span><\/p>\n

2019 a \u00e9t\u00e9 une ann\u00e9e d\u2019action. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 PLACE, Farid a \u00e9t\u00e9 jumel\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00c9cole<\/a>, un incubateur parisien aux racines de la Silicon Valley. Avec un r\u00e9seau en expansion, il \u00e9tait pr\u00eat \u00e0 faire passer le PRD au niveau sup\u00e9rieur. Avec le soutien du Mairie de Paris<\/a>, il a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 faire d\u00e9coller les op\u00e9rations du PRD, mais son objectif \u00e9tait de cr\u00e9er un syst\u00e8me financi\u00e8rement viable et autonome pour l'emploi des r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s. Sa premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape a \u00e9t\u00e9 d'ouvrir un restaurant en p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie parisienne qui privil\u00e9gie l'embauche de r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s. R\u00e9alis\u00e9 en quelques mois, Farid a c\u00e9d\u00e9 son premier investissement \u00e0 l'un de ses premiers salari\u00e9s en octobre 2019. Apr\u00e8s son succ\u00e8s, la deuxi\u00e8me incursion de Farid dans la restauration ouvrira ses portes d\u00e9but 2020 dans le bouillonnant 18\u00e8me arrondissement. de Paris.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Avec ses restaurants, Farid a l'impact et la stabilit\u00e9 financi\u00e8re qu'il recherchait \u2013 mais pas l'ampleur. Mais il n\u2019a pas eu besoin de chercher plus loin que son t\u00e9l\u00e9phone pour voir une opportunit\u00e9 de travailler avec le ma\u00eetre de l\u2019\u00e9chelle \u2013 Uber<\/a>. Son id\u00e9e \u00e9tait simple : identifier, former et accompagner les r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s pour qu'ils travaillent pour eux. Uber mange<\/a>.
