Let’s shine a new light on Afghanistan

When you move from one country to another it is important to expect the unexpected. But one thing that has stumped Rafiullah, a PLACE Catalyst, since moving to France is the single narrative he is constantly confronted with about his home country of Afghanistan. The meeting ground of ancient cultures and home of diverse and rich art, architecture and music, the potential of Afghanistan is regularly lost below a surface level story that continues to be spun by the media. As he navigates the different tools to integrate in France, he is turning this single-story into an opportunity to show the European market the deeper side of this misunderstood country through entrepreneurship and digital storytelling.
