What do we mean by Field Experience?

Field experience is a parallel experience that helps the Catalysts (you!) to develop your muscles to become public leaders beyond the ambit of challenges and expert feedback sprints.

By proactively attending sessions in your networks, pitching, talking, and networking, you will already nourish your networks, in a way that is monitored by the program.

The main aims from Field experiences:

  • Create an equal space for active collaboration between partners and newcomer leaders like you
  • Offer you an opportunity to look within your networks to validate your skills
  • Receive acknowledgement from the certifying partner and other stakeholders who are comfortable to invite Catalysts to speak in events

Through this log, you will follow up on your professional growth and development journey throughout the program. The PLACE team will share extracts of this survey with you regularly to keep updated on your progress.

Field levels

In order for you to penetrate networks, you will find here the Field levels which you will need to work on in the upcoming weeks and months. The aim is to achieve at a minimum the first 3 levels before the end of the program: ATTEND, TAKE PART, INTERACT.

  1. ATTEND an event as a participant
  2. TAKE PART in a conversation between peers
  3. INTERACT with the speaker or session lead
  4. ORGANIZE an event
  5. MODERATE an event
  6. BE A SPEAKER or panelist at an event

Beyond the ability to set goals, great leaders are aware of what they need in order to achieve these goals.
What you need now is to create a sense of active and creative collaboration with relevant networks to get you closer to your vision.
